City’s Special Inspection Committee formed

BAGUIO CITY – a special committee created by virtue of City Council Resolution No. 186 series of 2004 has been reactivated by Mayor Mauricio Domogan this week.
Administrative Order No. 14 Series of 2012 reconstituted and reactivated the City Special Inspection Committee (CSIC) which is mandated to inspect the compliance of boarding houses, dormitories and pension houses of their business, sanitary and fire safety permits.
Domogan said, these establishments should operate in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and policies of the City government governing health, sanitation and safety’.
The CSIC will also monitor other safety measures which are being implemented by these establishments to protect the interests of tenants and students who are staying in their structures.
The Committee is chaired by Mayor Mauricio Domogan while the Action
Officer is City Health Officer Dr. Florence Reyes.
It’s members include City Councilor Erdolfo Balajadia(SP Committee on Health), Councilor Betty Lourdes Tabanda (SP Committee on Social Services), the City Building Official, City Planning and Development Coordinator, City Treasurer, BCPO City Director, City Fire Marshall, Public Ordr and Safety Division Head and the Executive Assistant of the City Mayor.
The CSIC is scheduled to conduct frequent inspections of these boarding houses, pension houses and dormitories and will be submitting their findings and recommendations to the city mayor for proper action. ***paul rillorta
